Governor Corbett Signs Four Bills into Law
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed the following bills:
House Bill 1862 (P.N. 2400) – This bill designates the bridge carrying State Route 607 over Freeman Run in the Borough of Austin, Potter County, as the Capt. Edgar E. Nuschke Memorial Bridge. This legislation also designates the bridge carrying State Route 872 over the East Fork of Sinnemahoning Creek in Wharton Township, Potter County, as the Private First Class Edward Ritsick Memorial Bridge.
House Bill 1955 (P.N. 2686) – This bill designates Grant Street from Main Street in Waynesboro Borough, Franklin County, to the borough line at Route 316 as the Staff Sgt. Richard J. Tieman Memorial Highway.
House Bill 1956 (P.N. 2687) – This legislation designates State Route 16 from the entrance of Greencastle Borough, Franklin County, to the square or other end of the borough on State Route 16 as the Master Sgt. Benjamin F. Bitner Memorial Highway.
House Bill 2134 (P.N. 2979) – This bill amends the act of May 17, 1921 (P.L. 789, No. 285), known as the "Insurance Department Act of 1921," to update the risk-based capital requirements in accordance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) model initiatives, expands definitions and makes other changes.
