Governor Corbett Nominates Ken Trujillo to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today announced he has nominated Ken Trujillo of Philadelphia to serve as a board member on the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB).
"Ken Trujillo has earned wide-spread bipartisan respect in both southeastern Pennsylvania and across the state," Corbett said. "I am confident that Ken's vast experiences in the public and private arena have prepared him well to serve Pennsylvania as a PLCB board member."
A member of Philadelphia law firm Trujillo, Rodriguez & Richards LLC, Trujillo also has an extensive public service record. His term recently concluded as a member of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Known throughout the Philadelphia region and across the state for his involvement in professional and community organizations, Trujillo serves as Chair of the Board of Congreso de Latinos Unidos and was previously Chair of the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and board member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Philadelphia.
The PLCB regulates the sale of alcohol, ensures convenient access to products throughout the state, educates consumers on the responsible use of alcohol and works to prevent underage alcohol use.
PLCB board members must be confirmed by two-thirds of the Pennsylvania Senate.
