Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake to Host Job and Resource Fair for West Baltimore Community
Through United Way grant, Goodwill helps those in need
BALTIMORE, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake will host a job and resource fair this Monday, December 14th from 11 am to 1:30 pm at Coppin State University's Talon Center Atrium.
Goodwill is hosting the career fair to help local residents find employment, especially those who have been impacted by the unrest in West Baltimore. The job and resource fair is funded by the United Way of Central Maryland's Maryland Unites Fund grant program. The grant will help Goodwill connect individuals in the 21215, 21216 and 21217 zip codes with services they need and employment opportunities from various agencies.
Employers scheduled to attend include: Atlantic Realty, Rite Aid, Maryland Live Casino, Yellow Cab, Enterprise, Manpower, EZ Taxi/Diamond Cab, Food and Drug Administration, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc., DC Police, The Department of Human Resources for the State of Maryland, Verizon Wireless, Humanim/Genesis Healthcare, T-Mobile, Essendant, Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, FedEx, Bank of America, Randstad, Marriott Waterfront Hotel, Five Guys, TrustWorthy Staffing, Kennedy Krieger, Chimes, Catholic Charities, Admiral Security, The Children's Guild and more.
Community resources available at the event will include: Priority Partners MCO, Johns Hopkins Healthcare LLC, MedStar Family Choice and MedStar Health, Maryland Insurance Administration, Maryland Food Bank, MECU, No Boundaries, Movable Feasts, Senior Insurance Company, NICET, YearUP, CORE Baltimore of Keller Williams, Concerted Care Group, Baltimore City Colon Cancer Screening-MedStar Hospital, Legal Shield and Maryland Volunteer Law Services.
Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. will also hold a free expungement information and resource session during the job and resource fair.
