Golden Predator announces Gold Medal Yukon Geological Staff for 2010

(TSX:GPD) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointments of Corwin Coe as Manager, Technical Services, Bruce Otto as Senior Structural Geologist, Joanna Hodge as Yukon Exploration Manager, and Fredy Marino and Erin O'Brien as Yukon Project Geologists. Mr. Corwin Coe, AScT, BSc, PGeo
Manager, Technical Services
Mr. Coe has over 30 years experience in the minerals industry including 18 years of senior officer experience with public mining companies and more than 25 years experience in gold and silver mineral exploration, development and production in North America. Mr. Coe's previous responsibilities include serving as Vice President of Exploration for Northern Freegold Resources Ltd. where he oversaw in excess of $20,000,000 of exploration expenditures incurred exploring for and defining intrusion related and epithermal gold deposits, as well as a newly discovered copper gold porphyry, all within the prolific Tintina Gold Belt. Mr. Coe spent much of his career working for a variety of companies in the Yukon, and has also held various senior and management level positions in development and production of both open pit and underground mining in the southwest US.
Mr. Coe is a Professional Geologist and Mining Engineering Technologist. He graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Sciences and the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and the Association of Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia. He is also a member of the Society of Economic Geologists and the Geological Association of Canada.
As Manager of Technical Services, Mr. Coe will be based in Vancouver and Whitehorse and will be instrumental in aggressively advancing the Company's large gold property position in the Yukon. He will also provide direction in implementing the Company's plans to develop underground high grade production in Nevada, and assisting in managerial and corporate roles.
Mr. Bruce R. Otto, BSc, MSc, PGeo
Senior Structural Geologist
Mr. Otto brings a strong background as a structural geologist for mineral resource exploration and development. He has worked for a variety of companies throughout western North America. Since 2004 he has concentrated on gold and silver deposits in Alaska, British Columbia and the Yukon principally with NovaGold Resources Inc. where he was Senior Geologist. Mr. Otto's work in the Alligator Ridge district in White Pine County, Nevada (where Golden Predator has significant royalty interests) resulted in the discovery of additional blind resources. Mr. Otto specializes in structural analysis and mapping in a variety of geological environments including intrusion-related gold systems, massive sulphide deposits, alkalic gold systems in BC and Montana, vein silver deposits in the Yukon, Blackbird-type Cu-Co deposits, and sedimentary and volcanic hosted gold deposits in Nevada. Mr. Otto has authored various technical studies published by Economic Geology, Nevada Bureau of Mines, Arizona Geological Society Digest, Idaho Geological Survey and the US Geological Survey.
Mr. Otto graduated from the University of Montana with a Master of Science in Geology. He is a CPG-AIPG, a PGeo in British Columbia, a Registered Professional Geologist in the states of Idaho and Washington, and a Certified Professional Geologist in Alaska.
Mr. Otto's responsibilities with Golden Predator will include structural analysis, interpretation and structural overview of the Company's projects in Nevada and the Yukon. His first efforts will be directed to the structural setting of the deeper mineralization at the Company's Brewery Creek project. Structural interpretation is integral to the discovery of deep resources at Brewery Creek and will be an invaluable tool assisting the Company's drill campaigns in the Yukon as well as Nevada.
Ms. Joanna Hodge, BSc, MSc (Hons)
Yukon Exploration Manager
Ms. Hodge has over 12 years of experience in mineral exploration and resource development in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Prior to joining Golden Predator, Ms. Hodge was Senior Exploration Geologist for Copper Ridge Explorations Inc., planning and managing their gold, copper, copper-gold and uranium exploration programs in British Columbia and the Yukon. Her expertise includes the design and implementation of mineral exploration and ore definition programs including the management of multi-drill campaigns as well as geological and geochemical exploration surveys in sub-arctic regions. In the 2009 field season, Ms Hodge directed Golden Predator's highly successful Gold (Scheelite) Dome exploration program and also oversaw field programs at the Company's Brewery Creek and Antimony Mountain projects.
Ms. Hodge holds a BSc and MSc (Hons) from Auckland University in New Zealand, and is awaiting conferral of her Doctorate from the University of Western Australia, where she completed her PhD research on gold-related hydrothermal fluid geochemistry.
As Yukon Exploration Manager, Ms. Hodge is based in Vancouver and Whitehorse, and is responsible for managing exploration on Golden Predator's extensive portfolio of properties in the Yukon. In addition, Ms. Hodge will continue in her role as the senior geologist for the Company's Gold (Scheelite) Dome project.
Mr. Fredy Marino, BSc, MS, MSc - Geology
Project Geologist
Mr. Marino joins Golden Predator from Eurasian Minerals where he served as a field exploration Geologist in Haiti. Mr. Marino brings more than 14 years of mineral exploration experience to the Company that includes consulting or staff positions with Victoria Gold Corp., Largo Resources Ltd., Newmont Mining Corporation, Bema Gold Corp., Geoinformatics Exploration and others. His specialties include field mapping, underground mapping, ore deposit exploration and evaluation, with significant experience in the Yukon and Nevada. He has also been involved in exploration projects in numerous areas around the World including Mexico, Mongolia, Alaska, Siberia, Colombia, and Argentina.
Mr. Marino holds a Master of Science in geology from Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Professional Master in Mineral Exploration from ITC, Delft in the Netherlands. He also conducted PhD studies in Natural/Mineral resources at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi.
Mr. Marino will be assigned to the Company's Yukon exploration office where he will be the Project Geologist for the Eureka project in the White Gold area and the Antimony Mountain project north of Brewery Creek.
Ms. Erin O'Brien, BSc, MSc, PGeo
Project Geologist
Ms. O'Brien has a diverse background in mineral exploration spanning 15 years. She has worked for various consulting firms including Caracle Creek International Consultants Inc., Golder Associates Ltd. and Morrow Environmental (SNC-Lavalin Environment Inc.) She has contracted for various junior and mid tier explorers including Stornoway Diamond Corporation, Canabrava Diamond Corporation, and Pacific Booker Minerals Inc. Her expertise includes Quaternary geology, regional reconnaissance exploration and managing drill programs.
Ms. O'Brien holds a Master of Science in Geology from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Environmental Studies from McGill University. In 2001, she became registered as a professional geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Ms. O'Brien joins Golden Predator as a full-time Project Geologist after successfully completing contract work on the Company's Antimony Mountain, Brewery Creek, and Gold (Scheelite) Dome projects in 2009. Ms. O'Brien will be responsible for the Company's Clear Creek project.
