Godengo Names Internet Publishing Industry Veteran Andy Morgan as Chief Technology Officer
EMERYVILLE, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Godengo, an established multimedia digital platform provider dedicated to the magazine publishing industry, announced today that Andy Morgan is joining the firm as Chief Technology Officer. "I'm excited to join a company that's becoming widely recognized as a leader in cost-effective software and digital services for magazine publishers," said Morgan, an accomplished, 20-year veteran of the Internet publishing and IT industries. "Magazine publishers are facing many changes, and Godengo can help meet these challenges."
Morgan's experience has been focused on Internet delivery of business objectives, including leading technical organizations in product management, software development, and systems operations. For five years, he's been with Internet Broadcasting (IB), an established player in the local-media services business, delivered via a SaaS model with a focus on hosting, operating, and managing websites for nearly 100 local media properties. There, he served in several positions, most recently as Vice President of Platform Technologies, where he was responsible for delivering 500M page views and 70M on-demand and live video streams per month, to 15M monthly unique visitors.
Morgan is highly experienced in managing large-scale technology architectures, including two Olympics web sites that Internet Broadcasting created, hosted, and managed for its client NBC.
Godengo is the preeminent provider of high-quality, reliable web-based technology and services to specialty, regional, and city magazine publishers, trade associations, and visitors bureaus at affordable cost – representing significant value compared to in-house or contract development resources. "We're delighted to have Andy join us," said Godengo CEO Peter Stilson, "as we focus on our mission to fulfill our customers' digital media needs, enhance their competitive position, and improve our mutual profitability by designing, implementing, and supporting innovative technology."
