Dr. Ingels, a Bastyr University alumnus, is a licensed naturopathic physician in the State of Connecticut and a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in the State of California, where he maintains practices in both states. He is Board Certified in Integrated Pediatrics through the American Association of Integrative Medicine and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. Dr. Ingels' practice focuses on environmental medicine with emphasis on Lyme disease, autism, Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS and PANDAS) and chronic immune dysfunction; including allergies, asthma, recurrent or persistent infections and other genetic or acquired immune problems. He uses diet, nutrients, herbs, homeopathy, and immunotherapy along with conventional medicine to help his patients achieve better health.
"I am pleased to be part of Global Lyme Diagnostics Scientific Advisory Board," says Dr. Ingels. "As a former medical technologist, I understand the importance of having reliable lab testing, especially with Lyme disease as Lyme testing has historically had poor sensitivity. I have had Lyme disease myself and have treated thousands of Lyme patients, so am happy that I can help contribute my experience as patient, clinician and microbiologist to help further our understanding of Lyme disease and help develop better diagnostic testing."
"We are very excited to have Dr. Ingels join our Scientific Advisory Board. His clinical advice will be extremely valuable in furthering GLD's science to help the global Lyme community," stated Mickey Ramchandani, CEO of GLD. "Misdiagnosis is a core issue, as Lyme Disease can masquerade as many things – juvenile arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and a host of other diseases. We are passionate about providing a diagnostic solution that decreases the misdiagnosis of Lyme Disease."
Dr. Darin Ingels is available for media interviews upon request. Please contact Dustin Starnes at (919) 341-1271 or [email protected].
