Global Leadership in Health & Productivity Management and President's Awards Presented to Samantha Horseman, Wellcare Administrator, Saudi Aramco
ORLANDO, Fla., May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The President's Award for Global Leadership in HPM combines two formerly separate awards – the President's Award, given only when someone has demonstrated leadership by taking action to advance Health and Productivity Management, and the Global Leadership Award, presented when there is a remarkable individual who champions HPM globally.
The Institute for Health and Productivity Management (IHPM) has recognized Samantha Horseman, BPhty, CCP(Erg), CWP, MBA, Wellcare Administrator at global energy leader Saudi Aramco, based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia as first-time winner of the President's Award for Global Leadership in Health and Productivity Management (HPM).
Ms. Horseman led the building and successful implementation of an integrated Health and Productivity Management Model at Saudi Aramco: this model was recognized last year at IHPM's 13th Annual International Conference with an IHPM International Corporate Health & Productivity Management Award. And she organizes and chairs Saudi Aramco's own Annual Wellcare Conferences that now display the remarkable growth of the program to include 350 certified employee wellness champions companywide.
Samantha played a leading role in the establishment and development of the Work Place Wellness Alliance, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, provided a case study from Saudi Aramco for the published report distributed by the Forum at its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland last year, and has since become a member of the new Global Steering Group of the Alliance after it was transitioned to IHPM.
More recently, Ms. Horseman led the formation and launch of IHPM-MENA (Middle East/North Africa), a dynamic new regional chapter of the Institute, and established Country Leaders in Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai/United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Morocco.
Samantha also led the publication of "A Wellness Roadmap for the Middle East," a model soon to be emulated in other regions of the world and is the lead author of an article just published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Health & Productivity
The award was presented to Ms. Horseman by IHPM President Sean Sullivan at the Institute's recent 14th Annual International Health & Productivity Conference in Orlando, Florida.
