Gilt Groupe, Inc. Appoints Christopher Halkyard as Vice President of Operations
NEW YORK, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Online luxury retailer Gilt Groupe, Inc. today announced the appointment of Christopher Halkyard as the company's Vice President of Operations. In this position, Mr. Halkyard will be responsible for expanding and managing Gilt Groupe's supply chain and distribution network. Effective immediately, Mr. Halkyard will report to Jennifer Carr-Smith, Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Halkyard joins Gilt Groupe from Marc Ecko Enterprise, where he was Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, responsible for streamlining the supply chain functions for all Ecko brands transporting millions of garments from multiple factories. Prior to that he was Vice President, Supply Chain & Logistics at L'Occitane en Provence, where he oversaw supply chain and logistic functions including import, distribution, transportation, planning, forecasting and replenishment to over 170 retail stores, e-commerce and other channels. Mr. Halkyard has also held positions at F.A.O. Schwarz/Zany Brainy, TJX Companies and Hecht's/Strawbridge's.
