MORGANTOWN, W. Va., Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gilbane Building Company, a global leader in construction services, has been selected by West Virginia University as Construction Manager for their Coliseum Complex Athletic Project in Morgantown, WV. The Coliseum is home to the Mountaineers Men's and Women's basketball teams, as well as other athletic programs. The project will include renovations to approximately 188,000 sq. ft. of space including office and administrative spaces, the Coliseum concourse, natatorium building and annex, and the men's locker room facilities.
A 15,000 sq. ft. Olympic sports weight room will be constructed for players and students. This new area will include free weight training area, nutrition station, and office/storage spaces. This new space will serve all the Olympic sports and the majority of other sports, with the exception of football, baseball, and basketball.
