Ghostbuster and Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd Sells One Millionth Bottle of Crystal Head Vodka
LOS ANGELES, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Actor Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander are pleased to announce that they have sold their one millionth bottle of their Crystal Head Vodka. The skull shaped bottle has sold nearly $50 million dollars worth of the spirit which contains no additives and celebrates the Mexican "Day of the Dead" tradition as well as the mystical legend of the 13 Crystal Heads possessed by tribal cultures such as the Aztec, the Mayan and the Navajo.
The proprietary blend of small grains plus peaches and cream corn with Newfoundland's glacial aquifer water is quadruple distilled, triple-charcoal filtered and then poured through a cone of Herkimer diamonds.
Nearly two years ago, Aykroyd and Alexander teamed for this venture and they have successfully eliminated the addition of fusel components. Crystal Head is produced by contract with the government of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Distillery Corporation, the last state-owned still in North America. CHV is the world's cleanest, purest vodka. It is also the world's only vodka in the high premium price category. It was awarded 91 points by the Anthony Dias Blue Tasting Panel, its taste and smoothness created naturally.
In addition to the original 750 ml bottle, 1.75l and 50ml bottles are now being produced.
