Gheorghe Iovu, "The Magician of Sounds", Invites you to Experience Relaxation at a Free Therapeutic Music Concert in New York
ORADEA, Romania, June 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Gheorghe Iovu, "The Magician of Sounds", invites you to experience a relaxing afternoon at a therapeutic music concert, on Thursday, June 24th. The concert starts at 1 pm, at St Paul's Chapel in Manhattan, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York.
Music means life for the artist. To perform any kind of music is to breathe with the universe, and, in the last 30 years, Iovu's music has become a soul and body healer all over the world.
Iovu discovered the miraculous effects that his music has on human moods after performing many concerts for people with different illnesses.
He believes that it is not actually the music that heals, but rather that the human soul is healed through the love that God sows in it. The love in each person heals. Gheorghe Iovu tries to generate precisely this kind of love through his music, because this loving feeling guides us directly to the soul, where the healing lies.
Gheorghe Iovu performed at The Body, Mind and Spirit Festival in Bucharest , at Sala Palatului, between the 26th and 28th of March 2010. The artistic aspect of the Festival is specifically designed to relax and nourish the souls of the participants, free of charge.
Gheorghe Iovu also held a concert at The Students' Culture Club in Cluj Napoca, on Sunday, the 21st of March 2010. Since then, he has performed almost every week, becoming a permanent guest of various TV Shows.
About Gheorghe Iovu
Gheorghe Iovu was born on the 23rd of June, 1952 in the Western Part of Romania and graduated from Popular Arts School in 1975, with a major in guitar. With precise gestures, flawless form and an honest smile, he makes his audience feel the music.
After taking canto and guitar lessons at the Popular Art School in Timisoara, Iovu went on to perform at various venues and events, when he began hearing a very pure sound: a delicate music that could not have been generated by any instrument he knew at the time. It was at this point that he started to see music as therapy.
