ATLANTA, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Robin Reich, a dentist for more than 30 years, was installed as president of the Georgia Dental Association, the state's leading professional organization representing dentists in Georgia. Reich was installed during the association's annual convention in Amelia Island, Fla. on July 23.
A member of the Georgia Dental Association since 1985, Reich has held multiple officer positions at the district, state and national levels. Most recently she served as public relations chair, leading the association in the launch of a statewide public relations campaign to educate consumers about the importance of good oral health and to motivate them to see their dentist regularly. The campaign, titled "Because I Saw My Dentist," is in its second year. It profiles real Georgians telling their stories of how finding a dental home and seeing a dentist changed their lives dramatically. The stories are brought to life through video, audio and print materials that can be found on the Georgia Dental Association's campaign website, becauseisawmydentist.com. The site enables people to find a dentist near them and encourages Georgians to establish a dental home.
Reich's success as the state association's public relations chair led to a national leadership position with the American Dental Association where she currently serves as chair-elect of the ADA's Council on Communications.
Reich also is a longtime volunteer at the Ben Massell clinic in Atlanta, serving as an adjunct professor. She is active in the Pierre Fauchard Dental Society, Hinman Dental Society, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Northwestern study club.
Reich attended the University of Michigan and holds a D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. She has practiced in the South Cobb area since 1984 and is a general dentist at Reich Dental Center with offices in South Cobb and Alpharetta.
