Michael L. Tiner, Managing Director of Houston-based private equity firm Tanglewood Investments Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Ameriforge Group Inc., remarked, "Ameriforge Group is our most important portfolio company. Its roots coincide with the beginning of Tanglewood Investments in 1996. This leadership transition has been planned for some time and is another step in the continued growth and development of Ameriforge Group. We are extremely grateful for Dave's steady and mature leadership over the past five years and look forward to his continuing contributions as a member of our Board. Gean is a proven leader and builder of businesses. We are extremely optimistic about the foundation for growth that is in place and look forward with enthusiasm to working even more closely with Gean and the Ameriforge team to build upon that foundation."
Dave Heminger commented, "The past five years at Ameriforge have been extremely rewarding both personally and professionally. We have built a winning team and made remarkable progress integrating multiple acquisitions into a cohesive, cooperative operating company focused on serving the complex and demanding needs of targeted customers. We conceived of and committed to creating an Advanced Technology Center (ATC) to drive our progress. Through the ATC, we promoted a sharpened market focus and relentless drive toward flawless execution to create and deepen competitive advantages. My association with Gean Stalcup began over 20 years ago at Illinois Tool Works and I could not be more pleased that he will be leading Ameriforge Group as it continues its successful and profitable growth."
Gean Stalcup added, "I could not be more optimistic with regard to the future of Ameriforge Group. We have used our commitment to the Advanced Technology Center and the practices that flow from it to build world class capability in several key areas, successfully demonstrating the ability to serve some of the most sophisticated and demanding customers in the world. We have made remarkable progress even during the challenging global economic conditions of the past 12-18 months. We now have an opportunity to build upon that foundation as we strive to be among the 'best of the best' global manufacturing companies."
