GE Gets the Most Nominations for Leading IR - But Who Will Win?
Nominees announced for the IR Magazine US Awards 2010
NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The nominees for this year's IR Magazine US Awards have just been announced. GE received the most nominations of any company, being named in five categories including the grand prix for best overall investor relations by a mega-cap company. Life Time Fitness, Chesapeake Energy and JPMorgan Chase & Co were named in four categories each. But there's still everything left to play for: the IR world will have to wait to see who will walk away with the prizes on the night.
The winners will be announced at a gala event at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. A full list of this year's award nominees and a list of the sector leaders are available below, or on our website at www.irmagazineus.com.
An independent survey of investors elects the best performers of investor relations in categories such as best crisis communications, best IR by a chairman/CEO and best IR by a continental European company in the US market. Erdos & Morgan used databases from Thomson Reuters and Ipreo to invite the full universe of US investment professionals to participate in an online survey between December 2009 and January 2010. For best communications with the retail market, Barron's Online subscribers and BetterInvesting members completed a separate online survey. In total, 1,948 investment professionals and 1,866 retail investors voted. The complete results of the survey will be published in IR magazine's Investor Perception Study, US 2010.
The event will be hosted in association with Barron's and is co-sponsored by American Stock Transfer & Trust Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, BNY Mellon Depositary Receipts, BNY Mellon Shareowner Services, Business Wire, Chorus Call, Deutsche Bank ADR Group, Financial Times, GE, Georgeson, Innisfree M&A Incorporated, IPG, Ipreo, Kreab Gavin Anderson, Laurel Hill Advisory Group, MacKenzie Partners, Marketwire, NASDAQ OMX, National Investor Relations Institute, NYSE Euronext, PR Newswire, and Wells Fargo Shareowner Services.
The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world's largest survey of this kind, each year canvassing over 5,000 analysts and investors around the world and identifying award winners in seven different countries or regions.
