Gary Bauer's Super PAC Launches Pro-Marriage Ad Campaign in North Carolina
WASHINGTON, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former Republican presidential candidate Gary L. Bauer today announced that his super PAC, Campaign for American Values, has launched a significant independent expenditure in North Carolina. The ad campaign will remind the people of North Carolina that they overwhelmingly voted to preserve the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, a stark contrast to the pro-gay "marriage" stance of the Democratic Platform and President Barack Obama.
Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for American Values, made the following statement: "Just hours after 61% of North Carolinians cast their ballots in support of normal marriage, Barack Obama insisted they were bigots when he publicly endorsed same-sex marriage. It was a slap in the face to the good and decent people of North Carolina, whose state is hosting the Democratic National Convention this week.
"The newly adopted position of the Democratic Party that undermines the definition marriage as one man and one woman is also a slap in the face to the voters of 30 other states who, like North Carolinians, voted to protect and preserve the common sense definition of marriage. Barack Obama has spent four years undermining the values of the vast majority of Americans. Our ads will remind swing voters how Barack Obama has used his power and abused their trust to promote a radical agenda they did not vote for."
The Campaign for American Values ads will air in the Charlotte media market during the Democratic National Convention. To view the ad, go to: http://www.cfavpac.com
