Garth T. Troxell Joins Buffalo-Based Private Equity Firm, Summer Street Capital Partners, LLC as Partner

BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Summer Street Capital Partners (www.summerstreetcapital.com), a Buffalo, New York-based private equity fund, is pleased to announce that Garth T. Troxell has joined the firm as a Partner.  Mr. Troxell will be actively engaged in all aspects of Summer Street's investment activities and portfolio management, and will lead Summer Street's Investor Relations efforts.

Mr. Troxell has a diverse experience base spanning consulting, private equity, and investment banking.  Prior to joining Summer Street, Garth served as a consultant to investment banking and private equity clients.  From 2002 to 2012, he was with Altius Associates, most recently as a Partner and Executive Director.  Altius is a global private equity consulting and fund of funds firm, advising large institutional investors on private equity investments.  While at Altius, Garth led or assisted on client LP commitments totaling over $10.0 billion to buyout and growth equity funds based in the US and Europe, and also led a number of successful co-investment and secondaries transactions.

Mr. Troxell also has significant Investment Banking experience, having started his career at Harris Williams & Co., a mid-market M&A firm, and he was a co-founder of Cobblestone Advisors, a small deal focused subsidiary of Harris Williams.  Garth earned a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce with a concentration in Finance, and also Majored in Economics in UVA's College of Arts and Sciences.
