SEATTLE, Aug. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Big Fish Game's new internal studio, Liftoff Labs, enters the realm of virtual reality with their debut game: Galaxy Golf. In this planetary physics puzzler, players won't simply pick a golf club and whack a ball into oblivion. Rather, they'll step out amongst the stars, move planets, and battle gravity in a wondrously fun galaxy like no other.
"Liftoff Labs was established to explore development in virtual reality, and we are thrilled to join this new field with our first VR release. Galaxy Golf is an innovation on familiar concepts which is immersive and fun no matter what device it's played on. It has already been a thrilling adventure and I can't wait for players to experience what we have built!" said Mars Jokela, Director of Liftoff Labs.
Galaxy Golf supports all major VR platforms: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Gear VR and Google Cardboard, with innovative and intuitive controls tailored to each device. With HTC Vive wands, players may physically spin the planet, grab the ball, and aim the ball for the shot. With the Gear VR and Oculus Rift, players intuitively navigate and aim using their gaze, with great precision. The Google Cardboard game offers the most accessible experience with a free demonstration of Galaxy Golf's core gameplay.
The game can be purchased through Steam or the Oculus Store on Wednesday August 24, 2016 for $4.99 USD.
