Gaga's Workshop Tops the Shortlist for International Awards Honoring Best of Web
NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Surgeons announced today that it has been named the Best Celebrity/Fan Social Campaign in the 17th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. The IADAS, which nominates and selects The Webby Awards Winners, is comprised of web industry experts, including media mogul Arianna Huffington, Skype CEO Tony Bates, Mozilla CEO and Chair Mitchell Baker, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, mobile-phone inventor Martin Cooper, and StumbleUpon founder Garrett Camp.
The Gaga's Workshop campaign ran from November 2011 until January 2012. The campaign consisted of an interactive microsite with deeply integrated social ties with Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. The Gaga's Workshop campaign garnered 4 Billion total earned media impressions. This resulted in a 70% increase in holiday sales for Barneys from the previous year.
