'Furniture China 2010' to be Held 7-10 September 2010 in Shanghai
SHANGHAI, May 10 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China's economy revved into high gear during the first quarter of 2010, growing 11.9% compared with a year ago, said a spokesman for the National Statistics Bureau. And according to Mr. Jia Qingwen, President of China National Furniture Association, China's furniture exports reached US$ 4.7 billion in January - February 2010, up 30.3% compared with the same period in 2009.
Acting as one of the best well-known cities in China, Shanghai is being built into a modern metropolis and a world economic, financial, trading and shipping center. Furniture China, held annually in September in Shanghai, is the best channel to reach the target markets: not only for developing potential Asian markets, but also to expand existing Western markets. Such a great combination provides an excellent platform for qualified exhibitors and visitors from all over the world to attend this annual event.
As the important sourcing platform for the world's furniture industry, more and more international furniture enterprises choose Furniture China to launch new products, develop new contacts and expand new markets. Along with 95% of last years' exhibitors returning, FENABEL from Portugal, SIFAS and PARISOT from France, EFILOGIC from Spain, SKY/ASKO NABYTEK from the Czech Republic, and FORZA from Belgium, will present for the first time at Furniture China 2010, showcasing their contemporary furniture, dining tables & chairs and rattan furniture products.
Also, due to strong demands, outdoor furniture emerges as a new sector at Furniture China 2010. The well-designed outdoor furniture made in China will be gathered and displayed in one area. As living standards continue to rise, people pursue a simple and natural lifestyle which results in a prosperous outdoor furniture industry. The outdoor furniture sector will continue to expand in the future with more good quality products.
The opening of Metro Line 7 will offer one more convenient way for participants to attend the event this year, other than the shuttle buses and taxis that will continue to transport visitors to the exhibition venue. The Shanghai New International Expo Centre is only 5 minutes walking distance from Exit No. 2 of the 'Huamu Road' station on Line 7.
