FulfillNet's Innovative Software Featured on Microsoft Website
GREEN BAY, Wis., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- ShopDev, a software program that is dramatically changing the way fulfillment and point-of-purchase (POS) platforms are managed, is the focus of a featured case study on Microsoft's website. The ShopDev program was developed by FulfillNet, working with its technology partner Skyline Technologies. Based on Microsoft's Silverlight browser plug-in, the ShopDev module automates the capture of information on fixtures, racks and other POS assets and simplifies the reporting process and asset management.
"Our work with Skyline and development of this software showcases FulfillNet's reputation for innovation to meet clients' needs," explains Kate Burgess, FulfillNet President/CEO. "This software is a direct response to the needs of our clients who were seeking a forward-thinking approach to automate a time consuming process for managing and reporting on in-store fixtures and merchandising." Most point-of-purchase displays are managed by individuals who visit retailers, take photos, record observations and forecast needs. Then, they compile and write reports which are sent to regional managers who take action on the reports.
ShopDev's innovative approach makes it possible to easily and quickly enter data, images and text on the same screen, allowing for centralized data collection, analysis and maintenance capabilities. "The result is that ShopDev saves our clients money, streamlines a cumbersome process, and reduces human error in keeping POS displays stocked and visually appealing to potential customers," said Burgess. "We're always listening to our clients about their processes and challenges with getting the right marketing materials to the right location on time. It has helped advance our systems and competitive edge." On average, ShopDev has helped FulfillNet clients reduce their print and shipping costs by more than 35%.
ShopDev, and its impressive results, are now the focus of a Customer Solution Case Study on Microsoft's website. "The case study explains the need that existed for this type of software and how we worked with Skyline and Microsoft to develop software that provides a solution for our clients as well as opportunities to further expand and refine ShopDev in the future," said Burgess. "It's an honor to have Microsoft recognize our efforts; but it's even more gratifying to know we're providing our clients with something that helps them be more efficient, competitive and profitable."
