LONDON, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan Chairman David Frigstad, Global President Aroop Zutshi, and Head of European Business Jan E Kristiansen, met in Vilnius with Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, Transport Minister Eligijum Masiulis, several foreign ambassadors and leading Lithuanian political and business figures to examine the manifold opportunities to be created or leveraged from the global megatrends facing the country.

Frost & Sullivan can play a very active and value-added role in supporting the public and private sectors in Lithuania. "It is admirable to see how Lithuania, despite numerous challenges and constraints, is making massive, rapid progress to restructure itself and become a significant force, not just within the Baltic region but also in the global international scene," says Mr. Kristiansen. "Based on our unique experience, global reach and privileged contacts with innovators and best practice industry players, Frost & Sullivan is in a vantage position to support Lithuania's government and enterprises in designing and implementing successful growth initiatives."
Frost & Sullivan sees tremendous potential for this very dynamic economy in all different markets, particularly from an infrastructure, transportation and communications perspective with focus on booming sectors such as electric vehicles. During meetings at the ministries of Economy, Development, and Transportation and at the NASDAQ OMX Group, Frost & Sullivan executives and their hosts exchanged ideas about the future of industry, the potential for strategic partnerships between Frost & Sullivan and key Lithuanian stakeholders to promote Lithuanian innovators and entrepreneurs globally, and explored the possibility of opening a Frost & Sullivan office in Vilnius.
Both sides agreed on the importance and impact of holding a Baltic Growth, Innovation and Leadership (GIL) conference in Lithuania in the near future and of potentially creating a Global Innovation Centre (GIC) to help address the challenges facing the Baltic region. "Innovation is a core resource that must be leveraged to shape a better future and improve Planet health," argues Chairman Frigstad. "Our hosts were very interested in learning how increasing the role of government and business in the Global GIL programme will help them to develop solid growth strategies that accelerate growth, drive innovation and establish visionary leadership."
