MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce that the consulting firm will be naming the recipients of its 2010 Excellence in Medical Devices and Life Sciences Awards. The Awards were announced during a banquet that took place on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in San Francisco, California.

The Awards recognize companies, strategies, processes, technologies, and executives that have achieved world-class performance in the pharmaceutical, biotech, drug discovery, clinical diagnostics, medical imaging, and medical device industries.

Dr. Thomas Fogarty served as Keynote Speaker, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Fogarty is an internationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon, inventor, and entrepreneur, and is the recipient of countless awards and honors. He currently creates new medical devices with Fogarty Engineering and the Institute for Innovation.
