Free Continuing Education Course Launched to Assist Multifamily Housing Professionals Manage Excess Moisture and Prevent Mold in Apartments
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C., Oct. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today's energy code requirements have progressively made apartments and condominiums much "tighter" with respect to air movement. At the same time, traditional HVAC systems do not currently offer an appropriately sized air conditioning system for residential applications with smaller footprints. Often, the result is pent-up moisture. When normal resident behaviors such as cooking, cleaning and showering are introduced into a well-insulated, tightly constructed dwelling, microbial growth including mold can result.
