FRC Action PAC Endorsed Candidates Celebrate Big Wins
WASHINGTON, Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council Action PAC celebrated huge victories tonight for FRC Action PAC candidates across the country.
Members of Congress who scored 100% on FRC Action's congressional vote scorecard have a 100% re-election rate so far. In addition 111th True Bluers who ran for other office are also winning, such as John Boozman winning the Arkansas Senate seat, Roy Blunt winning the Missouri Senate seat, and Sam Brownback winning the Kansas governor's seat.
Last April, FRC Action PAC announced that it would work to replace twenty so-called 'pro-life' Democrats who voted for a health care bill that for the first time in three decades uses taxpayer funds for abortion on demand. So far tonight, at least nine of those members have lost their races or have fallen behind in early returns. Defeated Members include Rep. Tom Perriello, Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper, Rep. Baron Hill, Rep. Shea-Porter, and Rep. Paul Kanjorski.
FRC Action President Tony Perkins made the following comments:
"Tonight's election results points to the significant impact of the natural alliance between the Tea Party, social conservatives, and other Americans disillusioned by Washington's politics as usual. This alliance is not based just upon issues, although there are some shared policy concerns. The synergy is found in the common interest they have in replacing those elected officials, both Democrat and Republican, who have ignored the limits of the Constitution and have forgotten the founding principles of our nation. Voters will now look to the newly elected GOP-led House of Representatives to restore the Constitution to its proper role and fulfill its pledge to ' honor families, traditional marriage, life, and the private and faith-based organizations that form the core of our American values.'"
