Four Major Organizations Contract With Quality Attributes Software for IntelliFace Resource and Energy Management System
BAYVILLE, N.J., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Only months after Quality Attributes Software's (QAS) introduction of IntelliFace, four major organizations have contracted to utilize the company's next-generation sustainable resource and energy management system. Those that will install IntelliFace in their facilities include:
- University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn.
- Temple University, Philadelphia
- Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore
- National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corp., Dulles, Va.
"When we introduced IntelliFace in late November 2012, we said it has the potential to revolutionize how the industry operates its buildings, and that's proving to be the case," said Nico Willis, president of QAS. "Every type of property, facility or campus seeking the most effective way to reduce costs as well as their carbon footprint can now take a more comprehensive look at energy efficiency, water conservation, carbon emissions and waste management."
IntelliFace can interface with any type of existing system or platform in any format or language. This cloud application has the ability to collect limitless end-to-end "real data" from all measurable resources within a facility and then manage, analyze and store it. This highly intelligent application has the ability to process millions of data points in seconds and then adjust the data sets in real time. The graphic presentations present an x-ray view of the energy flow of the building, measuring the energy usage for optimum analysis and management.
IntelliFace gives facility managers the ability to monitor every aspect of a facility's operations, regardless of the systems being used. This information is essential to understanding if a building is running efficiently and, if it isn't, identifying and correcting any issues.
IntelliFaceTM alsoprovides an analysis of energy and resource performance, identifying trends as well as issues needing to be addressed. With geographic flexibility, monitoring multiple buildings at one or even several locations around the world is easily done. IntelliFaceTM provides a detailed dashboard that can be configured with a variety of data presentations depending on the audience. Each display can track energy and resource use as well as renewables such as solar and wind.
Part of the resource management equation is engaging the occupants and visitors in the goals and practices of the facility. IntelliFaceTM has a very effective tool called the GreenTouchscreenTM that is designed to educate occupants, raise their awareness and influence behavior. The GreenTouchscreenTM presents the features of a facility and its progress toward sustainable practices on an interactive touchscreen displayed in public area of the facility. Using live data, this rich, visual display informs, educates and motivates occupants to help in the efforts toward sustainability.
