Former AAHC Board Chair Named President of IOM

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former Association of Academic Health Centers (AAHC) Board Chair Victor J. Dzau, MD, chancellor for health affairs, Duke University, president and CEO, Duke University Health System, and the James B. Duke Professor of Medicine, yesterday was named president of the Institute of Medicine (IOM). The IOM is the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences.

In addition, he will keynote the upcoming AAHC International Forum in April in Washington, DC, which features participants from academic health institutions representing 11 countries.
