The Focus.com Live Event Platform is a web application that transforms web conferencing into a social and interactive event by allowing attendees to engage with presenters and colleagues remotely. The Focus.com Live Event Platform is a real-time, HTML-5 based, interactive application that allows participants to listen to roundtable discussions online, communicate with discussion leaders and other Focus.com members via live chat, and ask industry experts for business advice via structured Q&A in real-time. As with all Focus.com events, participants can submit questions to the discussion leaders. However, a unique feature to this live platform is the "Vote-Up" and "Interesting" buttons, which respectively give users the ability to promote audience questions they want to hear answered first, and gauge how interesting the immediate discussion is, allowing them to continue or change the direction of the conversation.
Since Focus.com was launched in May 2010, the site has held over 1,000 live events to provide expert advice for members.
