Florida National College Announces the Approval of Its First Master's Degree

HIALEAH, Fla., Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida National College (FNC) proudly announced that they received official approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to offer their first Master's Degree program.  This is a great accomplishment, and marks another milestone in FNC's history.  Mrs. Maria C. Regueiro, one of FNC's three founders and President, joyfully stated, "I am so very proud, happy, and pleased that we have been approved for a level change!  We are now able to offer Graduate Degrees to our students.  This has been a long journey, and we have worked very hard to reach our objective to provide quality higher education to our community!" 

FNC's first Master's Degree will be a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a business degree designed to provide Bachelor students with an opportunity to continue on to the Master's level, and students with work experience an opportunity to enhance their careers with higher level education in Business Administration.  Students can choose from one of three concentrations: General Management, Finance or Marketing. Dr. James Bullen, Business and Economics Division Head, emphasizes that "Every course in the curriculum has, in addition to Academic components, a real-life case study to provide students with virtual 'on-the-job' exercises in applying the material learned, and thus help prepare them for the workforce."  

Upon receiving the good news, Mrs. Caridad Sanchez, Vice President of Academic affairs exclaimed, "I am ecstatic!  This is yet another of Dr. Regueiro's dreams coming true." Standing beside her, Ms. Barbara Rodriguez, Humanities and Fine Arts Division Head, said, "I feel exhilarated!  This is an awesome accomplishment for FNC!"  As the word spread, many of the administrators, staff, and faculty rejoiced and expressed their congratulations!
