CHICAGO, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: FR), a leading provider of industrial real estate supply chain solutions, today reported the tax treatment of its 2010 distributions.

The Company announced the tax treatment of its 2010 dividends on its Series J Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock and its Series K Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. For tax purposes, 85.28 percent of the Company's 2010 preferred stock dividends represented return of capital (nondividend distributions), 5.25 percent were classified as ordinary dividends, and 9.47 percent qualified as capital gain.
In 2010, the Company did not declare any common stock distributions.
Shareholders are encouraged to consult with their tax advisors as to their specific tax treatment.
