FireKing Security Products, LLC Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit against American Security Products Company
NEW ALBANY, Ind., Dec. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FireKing Security Products, LLC, one of the affiliates of FireKing Security Group, today announced that it has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against American Security Products Company [AMSEC]. The litigation has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and asserts that AMSEC is infringing FireKing's U.S. Patent No. 7,216,098, titled Electronic Transmission and Tracking of Deposit Information, through the sale and offer for sale of AMSEC's CashWizard line of safes. The lawsuit, which seeks damages as well as injunctive relief, involves "smart safes" used by the business retail and banking sectors, which are configured to electronically track cash deposited into and removed from a particular safe at specific points in time.
"FireKing remains strongly committed to offering the most secure and innovative lineup of cash management solutions in the market today," said John Rhoads, Sr. Vice President for Product & Channel Development for FireKing Security Group.
