Shooting on a Nikon D800, Joseph took a macro approach to photographing the fish, offering the viewer a chance to make eye contact and deeply connect with a beautiful creature most only get to experience on screen or through aquarium glass.
Joseph's pieces are printed on the Lightjet Fuji Crystal Archive supergloss paper and facemounted to 3/16″ acrylic plexiglass. The backmount is a 3mm white aluminum poly nudo and they come in a range of sizes which offers a gallery-quality, archival piece that celebrates his whimsical aquatic subjects in vivid, lifelike color.
Joseph's collection features striking shots of Clownfish (Nemo and Marlin), Blue Tangs (Dory), anemones (Nemo's home), and other new fish friends including a Dart Fish with brilliant red "afterburners on", and an inquisitive Yellow Tang whose raised fin feels distinctly like a friendly greeting. A fine artist with abstract vision, Joseph also captures bubbles, anemone polyps, and coral in fascinating macro, offering art that will last through the ages and ignite conversations whether it hangs in an office or the dining room.
"Finding Dory, a Fine Art Collection by Joseph Hill" will be available in a range of sizes through the artist's website www.thejcollections.com from early June.
Snap up a piece of this iconic imagery to celebrate the release of 'Finding Dory' and inspire the next generation of underwater explorers and photographers.
