FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), the premier public-private partnership in the government IT community, officially announced the Top 30 Finalists for the fourth annual Igniting Innovation 2017 Showcase and Awards event.

Finalists will exhibit their innovations at the Igniting Innovation Showcase and Awards event on March 14, 2017 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Innovations developed by government, industry, and partnerships, at the federal, state, and local levels, will feature examples of improving processes through automation, providing new digital services, and implementing cutting edge technologies.

"Our finalists represent some of the most innovative technologies and services in government today. Attendees will learn about solutions they can apply in their organizations, stay current on evolving technology, and expand their professional connections."

114 nominations were submitted covering a wide range of technologies, services, and programs. A panel of government and industry judges evaluated the nominations and selected the Top 30 Finalists.
The top eight finalists at the event will be selected through social media voting by the attendees. They will present their innovation to judges, executives, influencers, and media.
Social media voting will be used again to select the one overall Igniting Innovation award winner. Four more awards will be presented by a panel of onsite judges for the most disruptive, most transformative, greatest impact; and best incubator innovations. The winners will gain national exposure through media and press interviews during and after the event.
