It also examines the diversity of ways that custom apps are being deployed across industries and teams.
Ann Monroe, senior director of marketing, FileMaker, Inc.
"Teams are seeing great results with custom apps that they build themselves. Custom apps are quick and easy to build and deploy, and the potential cost-savings is huge. With custom apps, our customers are reducing manual processes, data entry errors and inefficient tasks. They are communicating better, sharing information more fluently and boosting revenue and productivity. FileMaker puts the power of custom apps right in the hands of organizations from the get go."
Mike McShane, Director for Information Technology, Northern Dewatering, Inc (Survey Respondent)
"We replaced a very old database with a custom app to handle ordering, shipping and returning equipment to and from job sites. This has helped incredibly with accurate job site and yard (warehouse) inventory and also with much more accurate billing."
Kathy Towns, Quality Manager, Real Ale Brewing Co. (Survey Respondent)
"Craft brewing is a great industry, but from a quality standpoint, it can be a challenge to track information on all the components that go into the final product. From ingredients, to processes, to packaging materials, we track data across several brands. We were operating on paper and spreadsheets before, and was really difficult to get a big picture and to see trends."
