WASHINGTON, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As a project highlighted by the Obama Administration as a high-impact collaboration promoting "Data to Knowledge to Action," FedCentric Technologies LLC announces a new contract with USPS to provide High Density Computing Systems to solve Big Data applications. FedCentric continues to deploy SGI UV 2000 based systems to solve difficult big data problems. "Scale Out systems limit compute resources to a blade, once this boundary is reached the application codes and/or data must move to another blade through network connections. High Density systems use the entire system as a compute resource. These systems are scalable to 4096 Cores and 64TB RAM within the system. Thereby eliminating slow speed network inter-processor connections," said Gerry Kolosvary, President, FedCentric Technologies. FedCentric Technologies has worked closely with USPS to implement a Revenue Protection / Fraud Detection system. The new contract will tackle equally challenging Big Data problems enabling USPS to track packages and implement new sources of revenue for the organization.
