Extreme Selects GameStreamer to Power a New Extreme Group Video Game Store
GameStreamer Next Generation Digital Distribution and Streaming Experience Excellent Fit with Extreme International Group of Brands
TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- GameStreamer, Inc., a digital platform services provider, and Extreme International, the group of extreme brands that includes the Extreme Sports Channel, announced today that Extreme has chosen to use GameStreamer's digital distribution platform and innovative streaming technology to power a new extreme branded video game store. The new Extreme Video Game Store will include thousands of popular video game titles that may be downloaded or streamed and be added as a new brand to the Extreme Group of brands.
"Extreme is a leading youth focused brand and it totally makes sense for us to take the brand into the video gaming world. Extreme is all about inspiring people to get out there, experience and explore the sports and the amazing lifestyle that they generate and the potential to embody this and create an amazing experience through video games is huge! There is a perfect synergy between GameStreamer and Extreme and we're really excited about where this partnership will take us," says Al Gosling, CEO of the Extreme Group.
Extreme will launch a new games store using the white label game store service from GameStreamer. The white label game store service is a turn-key store that provides a full catalogue of games from top tier game publishers, numerous merchandising elements, exclusive offers only available to GameStreamer network stores, and the GameStreamer non-linear streaming technology enabling users to play games immediately without waiting for a complete download and installation of a game.
"GameStreamer is excited to have been selected by such an avant-garde brand like Extreme," said Robb Lewis, EVP of Marketing at GameStreamer, Inc. "We feel our innovative technology and next generation games platform is a great fit with the Extreme brand and audience and look forward to working with Extreme in making their game store a success."
