Exigent Security Products Announces Order From National Naval Medical Center
NORTH BARRINGTON, Ill., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Exigent Security Products ("Exigent") announced today that it has received a third sizeable new order from National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The order is for Exigent's Radiation Detection Area Monitors and will be used for monitoring radiological materials used for patient treatments in the hospital.
National Naval Medical Center ("NNMC") is one of the leaders in the medical use of radiological materials for patient treatments. The systems to be delivered will use Exigent's patented identification software along with monitoring devices provided by Princeton Security Technologies (PSGY.OB). Exigent expects to make delivery in the 2nd quarter of 2011.
"We believe this order shows the potential for our Radiation Detection Area Monitor technology in the national hospital market," said Frank O'Connor, President and CEO of Exigent, "and underscores the need to provide protection to important medical facilities from risks associated with accidents and terrorism threats."
