Executive Auto Group Sponsors Twitter Test Drive to Benefit Connecticut Food Drive
WASHINGTON, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Auto Group's strategy for social media is much like their mission offline -- to make charitable strides and serve their community. On May 21, Executive hosted the Twitter Test Drive Program to further support these initiatives.

The Twitter Test Driver was asked how they might benefit their community during the two days they had the vehicle and to Tweet about the good deeds. The goal was to encourage others to join in, spread the word about the food drive to their followers and ultimately incite others to contribute to their communities. With the help of GOSO (http://www.goso.com), the social media management system for automotive dealers, Judith Preston of West Haven, CT was selected as the winner.
Mike Hastings, Manager of Customer Care for Executive, said, "Jude was selected due to her seemingly endless acts of kindness. She once worked at the CT Food Bank and continues to donate and volunteer there. She was spotted on the beach picking up garbage during a break on her extended test drive," Hastings added.
With Jude's help, the food drive associated with the #EAGTestDrive collected 661 pounds of food for Connecticut Food Bank.
"That amount of food is equal to more than 500 meals for people in need," said Nancy L. Carrington, Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut Food Bank. "We are extremely appreciative of the support we received from the Executive Auto Group, especially as many more of our neighbors in Connecticut struggle to keep food on their tables. While Jude was out doing good deeds, Acura by Executive treated her personal vehicle to a complete detail and a complimentary oil change.
