Exar's BitWackr™ for SAN Reference Platform Achieves VMware Ready™ Status

FREMONT, Calif., Jan. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Exar Corporation (Nasdaq: EXAR) today announced that its BitWackr for SAN reference platform has achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that the BitWackr for SAN reference platform has passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List.

Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that the BitWackr for SAN reference platform makes best use of VMware technology and is ready for deployment in customer environments.
