Eventsv.com Offers Users More Tickets to Events Near Them
CAMBRIDGE, England, July 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The new ticket search engine, launched in April, offers tickets to events from around the world. Eventsv.com aggregates tickets from a large range of ticket wholesalers and re-sellers to present a comprehensive choice of ticketing options to its users. Eventsv also offers information about facilities near the event, such as hotels and restaurants.
Eventsv's unique software allows it to aggregate tickets for a wider range of events than similar services. As a result, Eventsv offers tickets to events such as theatre, comedy, sports, music and much more. The site, which is growing rapidly, launched with 80,000 events in April and has since added a further 55,000.
It was developed by Arun Kumar, 21, who has put in his own savings to run the site. He taught himself web design and programming to develop this service, which has been taken up by users from all over the world.
"As we've been growing, more and more ticket providers are approaching us about how to get their data on our site. The software is very flexible and allows us to add their data quickly," says Arun.
Eventsv also lets you search using a map, which allows users to see the events that are happening near them. This feature will undergo various changes and improvements along with other aspects of the site over the next few months.
Tickets available through the site yesterday included Bon Jovi in London for GBP22.50 and Foxborough, MA for US$19.99; Paul McCartney in Cardiff for GBP55.00 and Toronto, Canada for CND97.00, Billy Elliot the Musical in London for GBP19.50 and The Addams Family in New York for US$48.
Arun said: "The site is still fairly new; we're constantly increasing the number of our ticket providers so that we can offer the best range of events and ticketing options to our users."
