Eureka Math, the Top Pick of Teachers Nationwide

Of 1,168 teachers responding to a nationwide survey, 57% of elementary school and 47% of secondary teachers said they use either Eureka Math or the version of this curriculum developed for EngageNY.org. This surpasses the use of any other curricula, particularly at the elementary level where the next most popular curriculum is used by just 32% of teachers.

"The teachers who wrote Eureka Math are overjoyed that their peers nationwide have embraced this work. This is truly a grassroots movement," said Lynne Munson, president of the non-profit Great Minds, creator of Eureka Math. "This curriculum makes everyone work harder and rewards that work with extraordinary student success," added Munson.

"I've never experienced anything so powerful in education," said Kelley Boynton, executive director for elementary education of Bethel Public Schools in Washington state. "Our students can now solve unbelievably complex problems and share their thinking with pride and enthusiasm. We have been changed forever." 

EdReports.org, an independent non-profit that reviews curricula, gives Eureka Math the highest ratings in all categories (focus/coherence, rigor, and usability in the classroom). Although schools are generally in their first or second years of using Eureka Math, many are already seeing improvements on nationally recognized tests.

Eureka Math is the first cohesive math curriculum for grades PK-12 completely aligned to the new standards. Top classroom teachers and mathematicians from around the country wrote the curriculum during a two-year collaboration with New York state (EngageNY) led by the nonprofit Great Minds. Eureka Math is available in print and online, where anyone can download it for free.
