Erik N. Saarinen and Walter L. Lindsay, Jr. join Eaton Vance Institutional Team
BOSTON, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Management (Eaton Vance), a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., announced today that Erik N. Saarinen and Walter L. Lindsay, Jr. have joined the firm as Vice President and Director of Institutional Relationship Management and Vice President, Institutional Business Development, respectively. They are reporting to Susan M. Brengle, Managing Director, Institutional.
Mr. Saarinen oversees all institutional relationship management and client service efforts in North America and is responsible for coordinating client management activities globally. He is based in Boston.
Mr. Lindsay is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with corporate and public pension plans, endowments, foundations and other institutional investors. He is based on Atlanta and covers the South territory.

Mr. Saarinen joins Eaton Vance from Columbia Threadneedle Investments where he was Head of Global Institutional Relationship Management. In this role, he managed a globally diverse team of 20 relationship managers and client service officers in Boston, Minneapolis, New York, London and Singapore. Prior to this, he was team leader, sub-advisory relationship management for State Street Global Advisors. Mr. Saarinen was previously associated with CitiStreet LLC, Fidelity Investments, and The Boston Company. He is a graduate of Babson College with a BS in finance and investments.
Mr. Lindsay joins Eaton Vance from Herndon Capital Management where he was Senior Vice President, Marketing and Client Services. In this role, he was one of two senior institutional business development professionals covering North America. Previously, Mr. Lindsay was Managing Director at Vestian Group Inc. and held senior business development roles with Madison Square Investors, Hartford Investment Management Company, Trusco Capital Management Company, Fidelity Investments and The Boston Company. He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a BA in business and a concentration in economics.
