LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Eric Beach announced a relaunch of the Brothers in Arms Foundation (www.biafoundation.org). The Foundation's mission is to provide funding assistance to military families and community servants with an emphasis on educational opportunities. The goal is to honor leaders across the country. In addition to the Brothers in Arms relaunch, the Foundation will contribute to existing organizations created by Gold Star families to honor their fallen military loved one.
"We need to do more to support our military families," said Eric Beach. The Foundation was created to honor the legacies of fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines in coordination with their families, through community outreach. The genesis of the Foundation is the story of LT Brendan Looney, US Navy SEAL and 2004 United States Naval Academy graduate, who was killed in southern Afghanistan when his Black Hawk helicopter crashed during combat operations in 2010. To honor the legacy of LT Looney, and many other fallen heroes, the Brothers in Arms Foundation will host annual events that are designed to increase awareness of military service.
In 2013, Beach formed the Under Armour Brothers in Arms Classic, which features nationally ranked high school football teams. The Classic offers a unique opportunity for young athletes from across the country to gather together to learn more about true leadership and sacrifice. It will no doubt inspire a generation of future leaders.
