Entrepreneur Mark Curry Donates $10,000 to The Center to Advance its Mission

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada is pleased to receive a generous gift of $10,000 from Mark Curry, an entrepreneur and founder of MacFarlane Group, which has offices in Las Vegas. The contribution will be used to provide services such as health and wellness and programs to advance the well-being of the LGBTQ community.

Michael Dimengo, CEO of The Center said, "On behalf of everyone at The Center and the community we serve, I thank Mark Curry for his very generous gift of $10,000. This money will be used to fund critically necessary services and programs to the LGBTQ locality here in Las Vegas. Mark's donation will benefit everything from social and support groups to our library and health and wellness services. We are so very grateful and touched by Mark's kindness."

In addition to his entrepreneurial successes, Mr. Curry is known for his philanthropy throughout the Las Vegas area and has supported a number of other critically important community-based organizations including The Shade Tree. He has benefited Camp to Belong, Hope House and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Curry also is a founder of De la Mesa a la Calle "From the Table to the Streets," a non-profit fundraising organization in Puerto Rico that provides financial relief to institutions struggling to serve the needs of their homeless population.

Mark Curry is the founder and CEO of Sol Partners, LLC, which provides technical and strategic management and consulting services to financial services companies. Curry serves on the Board of the Online Lenders Alliance, which informs both businesses and consumers about the online lending industry and best practices.
