Ms. Tinsley will oversee development of new strategic information and competitive intelligence products and services for EMC's clients among multinational corporations, international law firms, and multilateral organizations operating in emerging markets.
Ms. Tinsley comes to EMC from a distinguished, multi-decade career in international journalism. Prior to joining EMC, Ms. Tinsley served as deputy vice president at the Washington, DC-based International Center for Journalists, an organization at the forefront of promoting quality journalism globally through new technologies and best practices. She managed a multi-million-dollar portfolio of programs primarily throughout developing economies.
Her news roles included foreign editor at USA Today, leading coverage of major events from the Asian Financial Crisis to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Moscow correspondent for United Press International, chronicling the initial transition from Soviet communism to Russia's market capitalism.
