Ellison Surface Technologies Achieves Nadcap Certification in Guaymas, Mexico
CINCINNATI, Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ellison Surface Technologies, Inc. (EST) is pleased to announce it has achieved Nadcap certification for Coatings in its Guaymas, Mexico facility.
Located in one of Mexico's fastest growing clusters for aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing, EST Mexico is the first Nadcap-certified coatings facility in the region. Nadcap, short for National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, is the governing program for certification of special processes serving the aerospace, defense and related industries. The scope of accreditation for EST Mexico includes the quality systems, HVOF and plasma thermal spray processes, dry-film lubricants and metallurgical laboratory evaluation.
The Guaymas facility is Ellison's sixth operation and second outside of the US. Other locations include Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont and Quebec, Canada. The Guaymas operation spans 35,000 square feet and houses multiple high-tech processes.
