Efforts to Recover Miners from Upper Big Branch Mine Concluded
JULIAN, W.Va., April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Massey Energy Company (NYSE: MEE) released the following statement regarding the successful recovery efforts at the Upper Big Branch Mine.

Efforts to recover 29 miners from the Upper Big Branch mine concluded early Tuesday morning.
"I want to thank the rescue teams from Massey Energy, teams from other coal companies and all others who worked tirelessly and selflessly for more than a week to recover the miners at the Upper Big Branch mine," said Chairman and CEO Don Blankenship.
