Edmonton Oilers, Taylor Hall Team up With Easton, United Cycle to Bring Holiday Cheer to Local Youth Hockey Players
Edmonton Charity KidSport to benefit from partnership and receive 100 Easton Hockey sticks
VAN NUYS, Calif., Dec. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season, the Edmonton Oilers and left wing Taylor Hall will partner with Alberta-based retailer United Cycle and Easton Hockey to donate 100 hockey sticks to charity KidSport Alberta, a regional division of a national non-profit organization.
KidSport is dedicated to getting kids off the sidelines and into the game by providing resources to overcome the financial barriers that prevent some young people from participating in sports. The non-profit's partnership with the Oilers and United Cycle positively contributes to the local sports scene and engages youth to take to the ice and play hockey, while simultaneously enhancing Easton Hockey's ongoing partnership with the Oilers and Hall.
"2010 has been the kind of year that I've always dreamed about, from signing with the Oilers to working with Easton Hockey," said Hall. "I couldn't imagine a better way to end the year than with a donation of this magnitude to a local charity that helps kids play hockey in my home province."
In June 2010, Hall signed with Easton Hockey as an endorsee to wear Easton gear and participate in the brand's global marketing campaign. Drafted by the Oilers with the first overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft, Hall has quickly established himself as a dynamic player, scoring 10 goals to date.
