Edge Velocity Corporation Named to the "Inc. 5000" List of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America
Salem, NH based wireless technology firm honored for its strong revenue growth
SALEM, N.H., Aug. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Edge Velocity Corporation today announced that it has been recognized on Inc. Magazine's "Inc. 5000" list of the fastest growing private companies in the United States. Edge Velocity earned the position of 953, based on the company's 474% sales growth over the past three fiscal years. Edge Velocity was the third-highest rating firm based in New Hampshire. This is the first time that Edge Velocity has been named to the list.
"In the past few years, the sales of Edge Velocity solutions have grown significantly as we moved into full-scale deployments of our highly specialized mobile IP wireless mesh routing technology," said Paula C. Beauregard, CEO and joint founder of Edge Velocity. "Our customers include first responders, urban transportation systems and tier one defense system providers who need robust, reliable and rapidly configurable IP networks under extreme circumstances."
Inc. Magazine has honored the fastest growing private companies in America with its "Inc. 5000" list for over 30 years. Companies who are named to the list have demonstrated strong revenue growth over a three year period.
"Working closely with world-class customers over the past several years, Edge Velocity has been able to move from concepts to demonstration projects and onto comprehensive installations of working systems," said Beauregard. "Clients choose Edge Velocity because we offer three key deliverables. First, our proprietary modulation techniques enable RF signals to penetrate dense structures and propagate through subway tunnels and on outside railroad equipment. Second, our system creates an independent ad hoc network among moving vehicles. Finally, our proprietary software addresses the challenges our clients encounter when responding to and managing disaster scenarios."
Beauregard added, "As the wireless world increasingly moves into the 'Internet of Things' and complex machine-to-machine intercommunications, the Edge Velocity approach is proving to be ideally suited to these emerging applications as well."
Edge Velocity markets a comprehensive set of wireless IP solutions known as the Edge Interlock™ Suite. Its proprietary technology readily interfaces to unique customer technology through its Linux operating system and its application of the 802.11s wireless mesh standard. The Edge Velocity family of products includes:
- Edge Intelligent Base Station (IBS), a fixed outdoor wireless router that provides the "core mesh cloud" of saturation-averse, secure high-bandwidth 802.11 networks.
- Edge Vehicle Mounted Router (VMR), a rugged, compact unit that communicates voice, real-time video and data at high speeds.
- Edge Rapid Deploy Router (RDR), a compact, battery-powered lightweight router housed in a rugged case along with multiple radios, flat-panel antenna and high-definition video camera that enables communications within the heart of the incident area.
- Edge Velocity Datapath Optimizer (EVDO), a multipurpose wireless gateway router that bridges commercial cellular, secure Wi-Fi and fixed local area networks to create wide area networks.
