Echo Partners with Together We Rise to "Share the Warmth" with Foster Teens
NEW YORK, Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Echo is partnering with Together We Rise this holiday season for their 3rd Annual Share the Warmth campaign. A family-owned and operated business for over four generations, Echo is dedicated to sharing the sense of family with those in need, especially during the holiday season. This year's Share the Warmth campaign will benefit young women who are transitioning out of foster care.
This marks the second year of Echo's partnership with Together We Rise. Last year, thousands of cold weather items were donated to foster teens across the country. This year Echo hopes to increase that number through additional activations and special events. For each hat, scarf or pair of gloves purchased at echodesign.com from November 18th through December 24th, Echo will donate a comparable cold weather item to Together We Rise. Together We Rise will then distribute product to their large network of foster homes across the country.
To further promote this year's Share the Warmth campaign, Echo is partnering with blogger and TV personality Lo Bosworth. Lo will announce the campaign on her blog and social media channels, inviting her 880,000+ followers to participate and give back. In addition, Lo will also host a Share the Warmth shopping event at Bloomingdale's 59th Street on Thursday, December 3rd, where she will be on site to style shoppers and help them pick out holiday gifts from a personally curated selection of Echo product. For each item purchased at Bloomingdale's during the event, Echo will match the number of products sold and donate cold weather items to Together We Rise.
"As Echo has been run by our family for over 90 years; we strongly believe a sense of family is invaluable to the lives of young women. This year, our Share the Warmth campaign is focused on supporting teens transitioning out of foster care. By donating gloves, hats and mufflers this holiday season, we hope to bring some comfort and warmth to those in need." - Lynn Roberts, Vice President of Communications, Echo

About Together We Rise
Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.
TWR works with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and suitcases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.
