Eaton Vance Appoints Michael B. Kotarski and Joseph L. Furey as Co-Directors of Institutional Sales
BOSTON, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Management, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV), announced today that Michael B. Kotarski and Joseph L. Furey have been named co-directors of Institutional Sales, reporting to Scott P. Ruddick, managing director of Institutional.
Mr. Kotarski joined Eaton Vance earlier this month to manage the activities of institutional sales representatives covering corporations, endowments, foundations, and select public pension funds across North America. He also has responsibility for direct sales coverage in the eastern U.S.
Mr. Kotarski has nearly 20 years of investment management experience, representing a variety of investment strategies to some of North America's most sophisticated institutional investors. Prior to joining Eaton Vance, he most recently served as managing director, head of North American business development, and a member of the senior management committee at Mellon Capital Management. Mr. Kotarski formerly held positions at Pioneer Investments, John Hancock and Russell/Mellon.

Mr. Kotarski earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Bentley University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Today's announcement also includes the promotion of Mr. Furey to co-director of Institutional Sales, with responsibility for the Taft-Hartley and state public pension plan markets. Previously, Mr. Furey was vice president of business development at Eaton Vance Management focused on the institutional channel in the eastern U.S. Prior to joining Eaton Vance in 2005, he held positions at Fox Asset Management, Cutler & Company, and the Hannah Group. Mr. Furey graduated from Suffolk University with a B.A. in finance.
